The wedding of Sarah and Richard at Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey could not have been more perfect – a dream come true when it comes to wedding photography! We always cross our fingers for tented weddings, but there was nothing to worry about, everything came together beautifully & the weather was amazing. There wasn’t even any traffic! (A miracle for a summer weekend at a Jersey shore town!). Congress Hall Cape May wedding photography
We had the pleasure of working some of our favorite wedding professionals, including Manic Botanic florist, Lillian Bashenko, who put together the most gorgeous flowers and decor (I just love it when there is a hint of a beach theme, you can see in the images below, just so elegant…). And our great friend and super talented videographer Alicia Nathanson of Blossom Productions.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Katie Hovey of DFW Planning. Katie impressed us with her proactive approach, she was thinking 10 steps ahead the whole day – love that! Weddings never feel like “work” to us, but getting to work side by side with talent like Lillian, Alicia & Katie makes the day all that much more enjoyable!
And we can’t forget the amazing EBE Entertainment – their band Dreamtime was incredible – as always!

[pinit]Sarah & Richard’s wedding had so many wonderful personal details, like this gorgeous clutch given to the bride by her friends. I think this is the first time we’ve seen a purse beaded with the couple’s wedding date – perfect! (Oh, and love those Jimmy Choo shoes! Sorry Paul, you know I always have to talk about the shoes!)
[pinit]Sarah’s gorgeous bridesmaids surprised her with a stunning monogram necklace with her new initials – such a thoughtful gift!
[pinit]This little ring-bearer wasn’t a fan of being in the spotlight, but he came around a little later…

[pinit]How adorable are these little ones?
[pinit]… here is the cute little boy behind that ring pillow!
[pinit]Loved the white jackets on the groom and groomsmen – such a refreshing change from the normal “all black” attire! And the bridesmaid’s champagne dresses were just perfect.

[pinit]The couple’s room overlooked their tented reception in
Congress Hall‘s gorgeous flower-filled courtyard.

[pinit]Such gorgeous colors, with just a little seaside influence…
[pinit]The scent of these fresh flowers, combined with the salt air was just amazing.
[pinit]Sarah & Richard’s first dance to Garrett Hedlund’s “Give in to Me.”

Is there anything more gorgeous and romantic than a Cape May sunset?
[pinit]I don’t think we’ve ever paid so much attention to when the sun was setting, I always know roughly when its going to happen, but we knew the exact light we wanted for these images – thanks so much to Sarah & Richard for taking a little break from their reception to allow us to capture these….

[pinit]Thank you for allowing us to join you on your most beautiful day, Sarah and Richard, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
XO,
Laura & Paul
